Continued .........

A droplet of sweat rolled down his cheek as he felt time freeze in a different dimension. He pinched his ears, hoping for them to lose sensation of not hearing anything at all. He stomped and whacked, and tried to break the ground beneath his feet, but to no avail. The vacuum closed in on his breath, as red spots danced to no music in the limelight of his eyes. It struck midnight on the wall-clock, while the birdie that rushed out to the second chirped without a sound. The clouds above collided, producing lightning but no thunder. His earphones bled out beat but no melody, until they finally imploded. He could feel the weight of emptiness on his shoulders, but no matter how heavy it grew, the ground beneath him didn't budge. All he wanted was a calamity. A tremor. Something that collapses on the world, so that the world can collapse on it. He wanted to fall at godspeed; hear the wind rushing past his ears while he rejoiced his dying moments with a pair of wings that didn't work. Death was the only way to feel alive. But nothing happened, and the lull in the air grew more engulfing. He wondered whether the tintinnabulations of his thoughts would be the only sound he would hear before his ideas turned on themselves. It happened so fast, as the fates laughed on his spirit. He gave up, and his head exploded, but the vacuum around him swallowed it all. He laughed as he fell to the floor, for he'd known it all along. Tonight, just like any other, there would be no murmurs. No music. No voices.

There would be no one who could end his continued silence.
