Sins of the Forgotten.

Look there, and take a walk through the garden of life,
The one which is so withered,
Where the grass isn't green on either side,
Leaving your soul nothing but tethered.

The distaste surrounds you on all fours,
While the dark shadows lurk past,
You get a short glimpse at their faces,
And no longer does your sanity last.

You see the treachery on their faces remembering,
They left your insides painstakingly sparse,
You lie down there thinking helplessly,
How they turned your life into a farce.

You see your existence recaptured,
as the train of events passes by,
Miserable, you think, your life was,
but you're stronger than that, you don't cry.

Now wake up from that ugly reminiscence,
Scour your vulnerability to chide,
Look into that mirror of yours,
and find the dark passenger inside.
